EMUAID: A Potential Help for Skin Conditions

It is no secret to my patient, friends, and family that I am very much into natural treatments for ailments. Most surgeons I know are as well. After years of practice, we know that natural treatments can help sometimes more than drugs (though many drugs are extracted from natural sources).

Here is an interesting combination of natural remedies that appears to have helped many patients.

If I had a skin condition, like Shingles, Severe Boils, Hemorrhoids, Eczema, Cold Sores, Fungal Infections, Poison Ivy, Psoriasis, Oak & Sumac and other itchy, painful conditions, I would try natural options first, like:

1. Keep area clean & dry & air dry after washing with just water & no soaps.
2. Go gluten free & eat plenty of green veggies, and low carbs.
3. Avoid precipitating factors as much as possible.
4. For Shingles or Herpes Zoster which is same thing, I would get a Rx for Acyclovir or Valtrex. And get an Rx for Amitriptyaline (Elavil) to avoid post herpetic neuralgia: thos who took it as soon as rash appeared had less pain after 6months than those who did not take it or took a placebo in a study.
5. I would try EMUAID for shingles as well as it appears to do no harm: still check with your MD before using it if you have shingles. There are no studies of benefit and of no harm that I could find but there have been many patients who have been helped.
