About MRSA
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by a strain of staph bacteria that’s become resistant to the antibiotics commonly used to treat ordinary staph infections.
Risk Factors for MRSA
Most MRSA infections occur in people who’ve been a patient in hospitals or other health care settings, such as nursing homes and dialysis centers, where bacteria of other infected people may be present. However, in recent years, the health standard at hospitals has been raised and the cases of ailments caused by other infected patients have diminished. Those who have diabetes and diabetic ulcers are at heightened risk of MRSA infection since bacteria can collect in open sores on the feet.
Another type of MRSA infection, however, has occurred in the wider community — among healthy people. This form, community-associated MRSA, often begins as a painful skin boil. It’s spread by skin-to-skin contact. At-risk populations include groups such as high school wrestlers, child care workers and people who live in crowded conditions.
Treatment for MRSA
After diagnosis, treating the methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection will often involve antibiotics. A medical professional or health specialist may also opt to drain any abscess that is present (if it does not respond to warm compress treatment).

The psoriasis has not gone away but the medicine does seem to relieve the pain. this is all I use know since I found you guys. steroid cream don’t even relieve my skin lesions any more or subside the pain I have. Laura A little over a month ago I ordered Emuaid for my mother. She had a severe wound that she got while in the hospital in November and we had not been able to get it to heal. Amanda I started with a severe case of MRSA last Friday. I saw the Dr on saturday, who confirmed it and prescribed an anti viral med and painkillers. By Monday, I had MRSA from the center of my spine in a 3 inch band to my abdomen.
